Slow Cooker Arroz Con Pollo

ingredients
4 chicken breast halves, skin removed
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 medium onion, chopped
1 small red bell pepper, chopped (or chopped roasted red pepper)
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 can (14.5 ounce size) crushed tomatoes
1 package (10 ounce size) frozen peas
directions
Season chicken with salt, pepper, paprika. In skillet, heat oil and brown chicken. Put chicken in crock pot.
In a small bowl combine remaining ingredients, except peas. Pour over chicken. Cover and cook on low 7 to 9 hours or on high 3 to 4 hours. One hour before serving add peas. Serve over rice.

I make this with boneless skinless chicken thighs because I feel they stay more moist (have more calories though of course). This is so good!

I cook this regularly for my All Day Scrapbooking/Quilting group - it's always a huge hit. I love it because I can get it ready the night before and then it makes the room smell so good while it simmers throughout the day. Super easy, super inexpensive AND a crowd pleaser (FYI - I multiply it for the crowd...).
Is it really ARROZ CON POLLO? I don't know but there is not a word as to the RICE!!! Do you cook the rice separately? Do you cook it in the Crock Pot? What's the quantity of rice for 4 people?
You are supposed to just make rice as you normally would or prefer.
