Simple Shrimp Au Gratin

ingredients
1 small onion, diced
4 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons (rounded) flour
1 1/2 cup milk
1 pound cooked shrimp
1 small can pimento, diced
salt and pepper, to taste
1 cup grated cheese
buttered bread crumbs
directions
Saute onion in butter in saucepan until soft. Blend in flour. Add milk, stirring constantly. Cook until thickened.
Add shrimp, pimento, salt, pepper and cheese, stirring until cheese is melted.
Place mixture in greased casserole. Cover with bread crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes.
