- #76244
ingredients
butter, for the dish
1 cup bread crumbs, preferably homemade
4 tablespoons butter, melted
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
salt and pepper, to taste
2 pounds scrod, cut into portions
directions
Set the oven at 400 degrees F.
Have on hand a 10-inch-long baking dish or another dish that will hold the scrod in one layer. Butter the dish.
In a bowl, combine the bread crumbs, butter, garlic, cheese, parsley, salt, and pepper. Set the pieces of scrod in the dish. Sprinkle the fish with crumbs.
Bake the scrod for 10 to 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fish or until it is cooked through and the bread crumbs are golden. Serve at once.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
Make your mornings a little less hectic with these overnight breakfast recipes. Prep the night before and enjoy a warm, comforting meal in the morning.
