Having a good stir-fry sauce on hand makes quick dinners even easier. Combinations of leftover and fresh ingredients will come together with this simple sauce that you can keep in the fridge at all times.

2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 cup light or dark brown sugar, packed
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup water
1 1/2 cup beef broth or chicken broth, depending on what you are cooking
Combine all the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Store the sauce in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Stir the sauce before using as the contents may settle.
To use the sauce, add the desired amount to your stir-fry during the last few minutes of the cook time. Bring the sauce to a boil and cook for 1 minute or until thickened.

Love this because all I need to do is use beef or chicken broth depending on what I'm stir frying. Also used vegetable broth one time when I was out of the others and it was good. I like a thicker sauce so I use less water though.
