Use this Asian-inspired basting sauce on shrimp, fish, chicken, or pork during the last 10-15 minutes of the cooking time for an extra splash of flavor. Can also be used as a stir-fry sauce.

1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup tomato sauce
2 tablespoons dry sherry
2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
1 teaspoon five spice powder
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons fresh grated ginger root
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Combine all the ingredients in a glass bowl and whisk well to combine. Use immediately or store in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
