Chinese Brown Sauce

Chinese brown sauce is a savory, dark brown sauce used in Chinese cuisine. This sauce is commonly used as a dip for meats or as a stir-fry sauce.

ingredients

2 teaspoons cooking oil
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon vinegar
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon white pepper
5 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon ketchup
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons ginger
1 1/2 tablespoon cooking wine
3 tablespoons water

directions

Put oil in saucepan and heat, then add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil and simmer 3 minutes.

Stir-fry chicken and vegetables of your choice. Add brown sauce and heat through.
