EXCELLENT basic white bread recipe. I've had trouble finding one that just *works* without constant adjustments. This one worked right off the bat. Will make it again and will try with flavor addins too.

This is a delicious white bread. A good hearty crust and texture makes this bread great for toasting. The only thing that I changed, is I used about 1/2 cup more flour to get the dough to a good consistency.

Not being a bread maker and a non owner of a bread machine I was very wary. I found recipe to be easy and quite delicious. For us non bread makers, the recipe should list the pan dimensions instead of 1 pound tin.

I made 2 loaves of this bread and it was awesome! My husband ate one loaf by himself the first night. My 7 year old ate the second loaf by herself the next morning; I got 1 slice from each loaf! I have to make more today!! Two thumbs up!!
