ingredients
24 slices (1/2 inch thick) baguette bread
olive oil
3/4 pound boneless sirloin steak
salt and pepper
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup crumbled blue cheese
2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 1/2 cup seeded and chopped tomatoes
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
2 tablespoons olive oil
fresh basil, for garnish
directions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Brush baguette slices with oil and toast until golden, 3 to 5 minutes. Let cool slightly, then rub with garlic.
Season with salt and pepper; heat a skillet over medium high. Sear steak for 4 minutes on each side for medium rare. Rest 10 minutes, slice and dice.
Mix mayonnaise, blue cheese, vinegar, and mustard together in small bowl.
In another bowl, toss tomatoes, basil and oil with steak. Spread cheese mixture on bread and top with steak mixture. Garnish with fresh basil.
