Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

Is something missing? It takes longer that five minutes to cook rice - even instant rice. I brought to a boil and covered then simmered for 20 minutes.
Actually, the directions on Minute Rice brand instant rice specifically say it's ready in 5 minutes, so perhaps it varies by brand.
