ingredients
4  whole eggs
1 pound dark brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 quart milk, scalded
1 quart half and half or milk
1/2 pint whipping cream
directions
Beat eggs and add sugars and cornstarch. Add scalded milk and cook, stirring constantly, until it coats the spoon heavily. Let cool then add the rest of the milk and cream. Process as recommended by ice cream maker manufacturer's instructions.
