ingredients
oil
3 pounds blade or chuck roast
1 onion, chopped
1 can (10.75 ounce size) cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup white vinegar
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
directions
Heat a small amount of oil in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Add the roast and brown the meat on all sides. Place the browned roast in the crock pot. Sprinkle the chopped onion around the meat.
In a small bowl, mix together the soup, water, sugar, vinegar, salt, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce until blended. Pour over the meat.
Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 6 hours or until the roast is fork-tender. Serve the meat sliced with the sauce over mashed potatoes, if desired.

Got this out of Fix it and Forget it and have made it for a couple years-so easy and turns out great each time! The sweet and sour type sauce is very unique!
