Slow Cooker Chicken Pilaf

ingredients
2 pounds chopped cooked chicken
2 cans (8 ounce size) tomato sauce
2 1/2 cups water
1 1/3 cup uncooked long-grain rice
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery
2/3 cup sliced black olives
1/4 cup sliced almonds
1/4 cup margarine or butter, cut in bits
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
1/4 teaspoon curry powder
2 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
directions
Combine all the ingredients in the crock pot. Mix well.
Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 6-8 hours or until the rice is cooked. Can also be cooked on high for 2-3 hours.
Stir with a fork before serving to fluff up the rice.
