25 minutes from start to finish and this chicken and noodles dish will be on the table. For a little extra flavor, throw in a few pinches of cayenne or smoked paprika.
1 can (15 ounce size) chicken broth
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
2 cups chopped vegetables, your choice (carrots, broccoli, onion, etc)
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
2 cups uncooked egg noodles
2 cups cubed, cooked chicken
Combine the chicken broth, basil, vegetables, and black pepper in a deep saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil then reduce the heat to a simmer. Cover the pan and cook for 5 minutes.
Add the noodles and stir. Cover the pan again and cook for 5-7 more minutes or until the noodles are tender.
Add the chicken. Cook just until heated through. Serve hot.

Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.
It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

It was a very delicious dish, I substituted zucchini for the cauliflower and added extra spices as suggested by other posts and yes I will make this again!

I agree that the recipe definitely needs more flavor, but that's an easy fix with a few pinches of dried herbs and spices! The cooking time was perfect as were the amounts of the ingredients (aside from the seasoning). My daughter is actually the one who made the recipe for us (she's 10) so it was a fun lesson for her to understand what to do if the recipe needed a little extra flavor. I make a garlic chicken that sometimes we have leftover meat from that I think would work great in this recipe (so if you are using leftover chicken, a spicy/flavorful chicken is the way to go).

This was basically a good recipe, but we added more spices: oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika. Other changes: whole wheat ziti instead of noodles (must be cooked longer), and we added Swiss cheese (recommend shredded.) Our cooked chicken breast was salty, but reduced-salt broth seemed to balance that.

This recipe was delicious! It was a big hit in my home. I added a pinch of salt and some crushed hot pepper flakes for some heat. Yummmm.

This was ok but didn't have a lot of flavor. Everyone ate it, but the next time I would add more spices. :)
