The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

This berry-packed dessert is great for any occasion. The sweet boysenberry filling is topped with a tender cobbler crust. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream for the finishing touch.
Berry Mixture
1 1/2 tablespoon cornstarch
1/3 cup sugar
4 cups boysenberries
1/8 cup water
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Batter Topping
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons soft butter
1 egg, slightly beaten
3 tablespoons milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a saucepan mix cornstarch, sugar, and water. Add berries and cook on medium to medium high heat until mixture is thickened, about 15 minutes. Add butter and lemon juice. Pour into an 8" baking dish.
Prepare the batter by mixing all of the batter ingredients and beating with a spoon until the batter is smooth.
Drop the batter over the berry mixture. Bake 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees F.
Let cool. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

Hm. My didnât turn out well at all. I thought it was wayyyy to sweet, and the topping was a bit too bready for my liking for a cobbler. Husband still liked it though.

The only thing i would change is to not add the water to the recipe. When you cook down the berries with the sugar they naturally break down and liquify a bit so no need for the added water. You can do this with cornstarch if its a little too watery. I used pre made pie crust so making i a pie is in a very short time, one of the easiest ways to make it and everybody eats it !

This was really really delicious. Only change would be to give it more thickening.
