18 small carrots 1/3 cup butter, at room temperature 1/2 cup sugar 1 teaspoon salt 1/3 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/3 cup boiling water

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Scrub or peel the carrots and place them in a baking dish.
In a mixing bowl, stir together the butter, sugar, salt, and cinnamon. While stirring, add the boiling water. Stir until the butter and sugar melt.
Evenly pour the sugar mixture over the carrots. Cover the baking dish and place in the oven. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 1/2 hours or until the carrots are tender.
