Green Beans With Bacon And Pearl Onions

ingredients
2 1/2 pounds frozen or fresh green beans
4 slices bacon
1 package (1 lb size) frozen pearl onions
3 tablespoons sweet or dry sherry
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoon thyme
directions
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add beans and cook until tender. Drain, cover to keep warm.
In a skillet, cook bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towels.
Add onions to fat in skillet and cook until softened. Stir in sherry, vinegar, thyme, and salt, then cook for 1 minute.
Toss beans with onion mixture and crumbled bacon.
