You can't go wrong with the original Toll House cookie recipe, it's the gold standard of chocolate chip cookies.

ingredients
1 cup butter, at room temperature 3/4 cup packed brown sugar 3/4 cup granulated sugar 2 eggs, beaten 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon hot water 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon salt 1 cup chopped nuts 12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
directions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a baking sheet.
Place the butter in a mixing bowl. Beat on medium speed until fluffy. Add the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and eggs. Beat for 2 minutes or until well blended.
Combine the baking soda and hot water and mix until the baking soda is dissolved. Add to the sugar mixture in the mixing bowl. With the mixer running, slowly add the flour and salt, scraping down the sides as needed.
Stir in the nuts, chocolate chips, and vanilla extract by hand.
Drop the cookie dough by teaspoonfuls onto the baking sheet, about 2-inches apart. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake at 375 degrees F for 10-12 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes then transfer the cookies to cooling racks.
Store the cooled cookies in an airtight container. Toll House cookies also freeze well.
I have tried a lot of chocolate chip recipes lately and this has to be the best I've tried so far, all the others I have tried where just gross. (and I can cook I might add.) Next time I make them I might add a LITTLE bit more flour so that the dough is a little stiffer but my family loved these! :)

I did this recipe without the nuts and it was fantastic! my friends and family ate all of them in less than an hour. I can't wait to bring them to my friend's super bowl party tomorrow!
Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
What's the secret ingredient in these cakes? Pudding mix. It not only adds flavor but it gives the cake a richer, creamier texture. No one will know your secret ingredient!
The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.
