ingredients
1 cup butter
1 cup shortening (solid not oil)
1 box (1 lb size) brown sugar
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 cups oatmeal
6 ounces chocolate chips
1 cup pecans
2 cups rice krispies cereal
1 cup coconut
directions
In a big bowl cream together: butter, shortening, brown sugar, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder and baking soda. Add to creamed mixture. Add oatmeal, chocolate chips, pecans, Rice Krispies and coconut.
Using a 1/4 cup measure or an ice cream scoop, put on a cookie sheet, 6 to a pan. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees F. Let them cool 5 minutes before removing from sheet to a wire rack.
