Quick And Easy Egg White Frosting

Egg white frosting is a light frosting with a glossy sheen. Use other extracts for different flavors.

3/4 cup light corn syrup
2 egg whites
1 dash salt
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

directions

Place the corn syrup in a heavy saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil.

Meanwhile, place the egg whites and salt in a mixer bowl. Beat on high speed with an electric mixer for 30-60 seconds or until the whites are foamy.

With the mixer running, gradually add the sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.

Slowly (and carefully) pour the hot corn syrup into the egg mixture with the mixer running on medium speed.

Add the vanilla and beat the mixture until it is thick and spreadable (5-7 more minutes).

Frosting is stable at room temperature for 1-2 days.
