ingredients
2 cups sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup white corn syrup
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
1/2 cup shortening or butter
directions
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Cook over low heat until chocolate and shortening or butter melts. Raise heat and bring mixture to a rapid boil. Boil exactly 1 minute.
Remove from heat and let cool. Beat until mixture looses its gloss. If mixture gets to stiff add a few drops of cream. If mixture is to thin add sifted powdered sugar.
