ingredients
4 cups flour
1 3/4 cup butter
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup cream
1 teaspoon lemon extract
sugar or holiday tinted sugars, optional
directions
Preheat to 375 degrees F.
In a medium bowl, combine flour, butter and baking powder. Add cream and lemon extract.
Divide dough in half. Roll out each into rectangle on lightly floured surface. Using fluted pastry knife or sharp knife, cut dough into strips. Form each strip into figure-eight shape. Sprinkle with sugar.
Carefully lift each cookie onto cookie sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Watch carefully, as cookies burn easily. Remove from oven. Cool completely.

I followed the recipe as directed, tasted very doughy and no flavor, maybe I cut the strips to thick Im not sure but was very disapponited in the outcome!
