Pineapple Almond Cookies

ingredients
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 can (8 oz. size) crushed pineapple, well drained
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups unbleached flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup toasted almonds, slivered
directions
Cream butter or margarine with sugars. Add egg and pineapple and mix well.
Mix together baking powder, baking soda and salt with flour; add to pineapple mixture. Mix well; add vanilla. Fold in nuts.
Drop batter by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet and bake in a preheated 350 degrees F oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
