ingredients
3/4 cup shortening (part butter)
1 cup sugar
1 package (3 ounce size) gelatin powder, any flavor (just the powder, not mixed with water)
2 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
directions
Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Thoroughly mix together the first 5 ingredients. Blend in dry ingredients.
Roll into small balls 3/4" in diameter. Place 3" apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 400 degrees F for 6-8 minutes.
