ingredients
1/4 cup shortening
1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon sugar
1 egg
1 tablespoon water
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 dash salt
directions
In a food processor, combine shortening, cream cheese, and sugar; mix until creamy in texture. Add the egg and water; mix thoroughly. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together and add to creamed mixture; blend well.
Shape into a roll about 1-1/2 inches in diameter and refrigerate overnight. Cut into 1-1/2 inch slices and place on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 8 to 10 minutes or until the tops are golden brown. Remove cookies from the oven, and let them cool on racks.
