ingredients
1 package dry yeast
1/4 cup warm water
2 cups flour, sifted
1/2 cup butter
1 tablespoon shortening
1 dash salt
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon

directions
Combine yeast and water, stirring until dissolved. Set aside.
Mix flour, butter, shortening, and salt as for a piecrust. Add eggs and yeast mixture, mixing well. Refrigerate at least 2 hours.
Divide dough into 3 parts. Roll each part out into a circle on waxed paper covered with the sugar and cinnamon. Spread with nuts and raisins. Cut into 8 pie wedges and roll, starting from wide end up to point.
Place on greased cookie sheets and let rise for 1 hour.
Bake at 400 degrees F for 15 to 20 minutes.
