Milk Chocolate Almond Bars

ingredients
1/2 cup softened butter
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 1/4 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
12 ounces milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped almonds
directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine butter and brown sugar, beating until creamy. Sift together flour and salt and blend in. Press evenly into a 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake for 20 minutes.
Sprinkle chocolate chips immediately over top and let set just long enough to soften. Spread evenly over top with knife, then sprinkle with almonds. Cool and cut into bars.
