2-5 hrs
ingredients
1 3/4 cup flour
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup butter, at room temperature
1 package (8 ounce size) cream cheese, softened
1 can (14 ounce size) sweetened condensed milk
1 egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
In a bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, and cocoa until the mixture is a uniform color. Add the butter and cut in to the flour mixture using a pastry cutter until the mixture forms coarse crumbs. Set aside 2 cups of the crumb mixture.
Press the remaining crumb mixture firmly into the bottom of a 13x9 baking pan. Place the pan in the oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool.
In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until it is light and fluffy. With the mixer running, slowly add the sweetened condensed milk. Scrape down the sides as needed. With the mixer running, add the egg and vanilla and beat until everything is incorporated.
Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crumb crust. Evenly sprinkle the reserved crumb mixture over the top of the filling.
Place the pan in the oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 25 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool to room temperature. When cooled, place the pan in the refrigerator and chill completely before cutting into squares.
Store the leftovers, covered, in the refrigerator.
