One Egg Cake

A classic recipe for a one egg cake.

ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup oil
1 cup milk
1  egg
directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 8x8 baking dish. 
 Stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk together the oil, milk, and egg. Stir the flour mixture into the egg mixture. Mix just until blended. 
 Pour the cake batter into the prepared baking dish. Place the cake in the oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes or until done. 
 Remove the one egg cake from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Remove the cake from the pan and let cool on a wire rack. 
 The cooled cake can be frosted as desired. Store the cake in an airtight container.
