Amish Mayonnaise Cake

ingredients
1 cup boiling water
1 cup chopped nuts, such as pecans
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 cup sugar
1 cup mayonnaise
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup nuts, such as pecans, chopped
1 cup chocolate chips
directions
Combine first 7 ingredients and mix well. Put in a greased and floured 9" x 13" pan.
Combine brown sugar, nuts, and chocolate chips. Sprinkle over batter.
Bake at 300 degrees F for 45 minutes. Cool.
