ingredients
1 1/2 pound cubed beef stew meat
1/2 pound smoked sausage of your choice, sliced
1 medium onion, chopped
3 potatoes, scrubbed and cubed
1 can (28 ounce size) barbecue baked beans
directions
Place the beef stew meat, sausage, onion, and potatoes into a slow cooker, and stir to distribute evenly. Spoon the baked beans evenly over the mixture.
Cover, and cook on Low for 8 to 10 hours, or cook on High for 4 to 5 hours.

I didn't find this recipe to be bland but maybe it was the sausage or beans I used. Easy recipe for sure!

Good tasting and filling meal all by itself. However, we like it with a little more kick so I added some brown sugar, chili powder, worchestshire sauce, pepper, smoked salt and a touch of hot sauce.

This recipe is hearty, but fairly bland. I will make it again, but add brown sugar or molasses to up the ante on flavor. Also, I think I will add some garlic.
