1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
directions
Combine the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, garlic powder and pepper in a large zipper top bag. Add the chicken, seal, and marinate in refrigerator for up to an hour. Beer makes batters better, meat more tender, and sauces more flavorful.
Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

I liked the flavor of this but it made the chicken a sort of purple color. I did marinate it for about 4 hours though. Does marinating it less time make the chicken look normal?
