ingredients
1 whole chicken, cut up
OR
6 chicken breast halves
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup margarine, melted
1 bottle (8 ounce size) sweet and sour sauce
1 can (16 ounce size) sliced peaches, drained
1 can (16 ounce size) pitted, dark sweet cherries, drained
1 medium onion, sliced or roughly chopped
1/2 cup chili sauce
hot cooked rice
directions
Place chicken in baking pan. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Drizzle with margarine and broil until brown.
Combine sauce, peaches, cherries, onion and chili sauce and spoon over chicken.
Bake at 325 degrees F for 1 hour or until chicken is tender. Thicken sauce, if desired.
Serve over hot cooked rice.
