This easy pickled cabbage slaw is perfect on a sandwich or served on the side.
1/4 cup granulated sugar
3 cups white vinegar
2 1/4 cups water
1 head green cabbage, cored and finely shredded
Combine the sugar, vinegar, and water in a bowl. Whisk until the sugar has dissolved.
Add the shredded cabbage to the vinegar mixture. Stir to coat the cabbage in the mixture. Cover the bowl and chill for at least 1 hour. Stir before serving.
