ingredients
1 can (21 ounce size) cherry pie filling
1 can (16.5 ounce size) pitted dark sweet cherries
1 package (18.5 ounce size) chocolate cake mix
1 cup chopped walnuts
3/4 cup butter, cut into pieces
directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Spray 9" x 13" baking dish with cooking spray.
Dump cherry pie filling into dish and spread evenly. Repeat with cherries, including juice. Sprinkle cake mix over the top - do not stir. Sprinkle with chopped nuts. Distribute butter pieces evenly over the top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.

I love it, first time I made it I only got one bite because it was eaten so quickly. I'm making it again this morning with brownie mix just to see what it will be like. I'm guessing equally wonderful.
Very simple, but just not what I expected. We didn't care much for it.
