cook's notes
For Delores Cook, who requested a recipe for Jamaican Fruit Cake. This is UNTESTED. I did, however, just get a little Jamaican cookbook, where I saw this recipe.... In spite of the name, it looks like a fruit cake to me!

The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.
