Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

This recipe was amazingly delicious! I did take a cue from one of the other reviews and did not add more than 1/4 to 1/2 of "italian" bread crumbs. I also used ground beef that had 80/20% fat content. This gave it more of a moist and very flavorful taste. I refer to this dish as "Yum-Yummy".
Alright I am not saying I am the best cook ever but i will tell you i will never make this again. If you do try it dont cook it on low. Only do it on high. I coked it on low. Anyway if you try it cook it on high. GOOD LUCK!!!
Different models of crockpots cook differently unfortunately - sounds like yours might be one of the older models that cooks a bit cooler (the new ones cook at higher temps).

We make this all the time! My picky seven year old eats it and my picky 86 year old grandfather eats it! What more can you ask for! I always serve over noodles with a extra side of spag. sauce. The meatloaf is so moist! My fave dish.
