Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1 can (4 ounce size) diced green chiles
2 cups biscuit baking mix
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons mustard
2 teaspoons seasoned salt
1 egg
8 ounces sliced American or cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Brown ground beef and onion in a skillet. Drain off excess fat. Mix ground beef, onion and all remaining ingredients except cheese and sesame seeds.
Spread half of batter in greased 9 inch springform pan. Lay cheese slices on batter and cover with remaining batter. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake 35 to 40 minutes until edges are brown and pull away from side of pan. Let stand 10 minutes; loosen edge.

so far the recipe is very simple to make,,, This is a great one to make after work. Quick and easy. The family thought it was good. Very filling.
