ingredients
1/2 pound ground turkey or beef
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin
1 can (16 ounce size) refried beans
1 cup chicken or beef broth
2/3 cup picante sauce
Additional toppings
sour cream
sliced green onions
chopped tomato
sliced ripe olives
shredded Cheddar or Monterey-Jack cheese
tortilla chips
directions
Brown meat in large saucepan; drain. Sprinkle with salt and chili powder.
Add beans, broth, and picante sauce; bring to a boil; stirring constantly. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Ladle into shallow bowls; top as desired. Serve with additional picante sauce.
