ingredients
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup butter or shortening
3 tablespoons light corn syrup
1 egg
1 package (6 ounce size) butterscotch morsels
2 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
granulated sugar for rolling
directions
Preheat to 350 degrees F.
Combine sugar, butter and corn syrup. Beat until creamy. Add egg and mix well.
Melt butterscotch morsels over hot but not boiling water. Remove. Stir into butter mixture.
Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt. Add to butter mixture and mix well. Form dough into 1 inch balls. Roll balls in granulated sugar.
Place on greased cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
