If you like apple pie, you'll love this smoothie. Vanilla frozen yogurt, applesauce, and spices are combined to make a tasty beverage.
1 cup lowfat vanilla frozen yogurt
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
2 ice cubes
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 dash ground nutmeg
Combine the frozen yogurt, applesauce, lemon juice, and ice cubes in a blender. Process until smooth. Add the ground cinnamon and ground nutmeg. Process until the spices are mixed in.
Serve immediately in tall glasses.

My kids love this smoothie. It does taste a lot like apple pie filling. Pretty healthy too.

This is a great smoothie! Instead of apple sauce though, I used half of a granny smith apple (sliced). Since the apple sauce provides a liquid source I had to add some non-fat milk. It turned out well, and is good for you!
