What kind of coconut should you use in this? I really wanted a coconut shake but wasn't sure what to use so I ended up using this recipe but instead of coconut and milk I used 1 cup coconut milk and put some ice in the blender along with the sugar and extract. Would love to find out what kind of coconut to use though so next time I can try it.
The recipe calls for unsweetened flake coconut. You can find it in the baking aisle.
life's good REVIEW: April 12, 2012
Man i'm glad that i am the first to write the review, on the coconut shake. I added 1/2 of sugar than i meant, and i din't have any more coconut. So I added another cup of milk so it was a little more liquadey than I wanted, but it was still good. Now I like coconut and i gave this a 4 ratting. now you try it, and so now you be and encouragement and try it. Then tell other people about it, thank agen for posting this recipe :)
Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.
