ingredients

1 stick (6 inch size) cinnamon
12 whole cloves
6 cups water
1 can (12 ounce size) frozen cranberry juice cocktail concentrate
1 can (12 ounce size) frozen raspberry juice blend concentrate
1 can (12 ounce size) frozen apple juice concentrate
1 cup brandy
1/3 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup sugar

directions

For a spice bag, cut a 6 inch square of double thickness cheesecloth. Place cinnamon and cloves in center of square, bring up corners, and tie closed with a clean kitchen string.

In a 4 to 6 quart slow cooker, combine water, juice concentrates, brandy, lemon juice and sugar. Add the spice bag to juice mixture. Cover; cook on low heat setting for 4 to 6 hours or high heat setting for 2 to 3 hours.

Remove spice bag and discard. Ladle into glasses.

  1. L. REVIEW:

Per the previous review, I just omitted the lemon juice as it didn't seem like it would be needed. It's a good recipe and very "warming". We made it for watching a football game outside and it really warmed us up and everyone liked it. I think I will serve it for the holidays too this year.

  2. Tall T

I like the recipe its a good foundation. I added nutmeg and whole apples cored and sliced. i think the lemon juice was a little much. next time i'll try a little less.
