Break out the mugs and make this hot, spiced, fruity tea. The combo of sweet cranberry juice with cinnamon, cloves and oranges makes the coldest winter day feel just a little warmer.

1 quart hot tea
1 quart cranberry juice
1 quart apple juice
3 pieces cinnamon sticks (2 inches long)
12 whole cloves
1 cup sugar
2 cups orange juice
3/4 cup lemon juice
1 orange, sliced, rind studded with cloves if desired
1 lemon, sliced, rind studded with cloves if desired
Combine the tea, cranberry juice, apple juice, cinnamon sticks, cloves, sugar, orange juice, and lemon juice in a large pan over medium heat. Bring to a boil. Turn off the heat then carefully pour the wassail into a heatproof punch bowl. Float the orange and lemon slices in the bowl.
Or, to keep the wassail warm, hold it on the lowest heat setting on the stove and serve from the pan. Add orange or lemon slices and cinnamon sticks to individual servings, if desired.

Love buffalo wings? Get that same hot, zippy flavor in everything from deviled eggs to enchiladas. And of course: wings.
Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

If you make this in the slow cooker it works. Leave it for an hour on high before leaving it on low. If you keep it on low you can serve it warm. There is nothing like a hot cup of fruit punch on a cold winters day

Have been serving this wassail at Christmas time for over 40 years. I got it from my mother-in-law and have passed it on to all my girls. It's quick and easy.

Have made this for more than one holiday crowd. Everyone loves it and always asks for the recipe. For a nice twist, add a shot of spiced rum to each mug.
