It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

- #75330

1-2 hrs
ingredients
1 package (16 ounce size) angel food cake mix
1/2 cup baking cocoa
1 1/4 cup water
powdered sugar
sliced fresh strawberries (optional)
directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine the cake mix, cocoa, and water in a mixing bowl. Beat with electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds. Increase speed to medium and beat for one more minute.
Pour the cake batter into an ungreased angel food pan. Place in the oven and bake for 37-43 minutes or until the top is golden and feels dry to the touch. Do not underbake.
Remove the pan from the oven and immediately invert the pan upside down onto a glass bottle until the cake is completely cool (about an hour). Run a knife around the edges and remove the cake from the pan.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar and garnish with fresh strawberries if desired. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
