ingredients

4 cups oatmeal
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter, melted
1 package (6 ounce size) chocolate chips, melted
1/2 cup peanut butter

directions

Mix oatmeal, brown sugar, and butter until well blended. Pat into a large jelly roll pan. Bake at 425 degrees F for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, melt the chocolate chips and peanut butter over hot water. Spread on the crust as soon as you take it out of the oven. May sprinkle some chopped peanuts over the top for garnish. Cool and slice.

    I liked these as they were easy to make but there isn't that much special about them. I guess if you need a quick dessert they are good. Maybe adding some vanilla or something to the oatmeal mixture? Not sure if that would make a difference or even work but I might try it.

    Is 425 a little to hot? Mine ended up burning on the bottom. I tasted a small piece and I think they would have been good if they weren't burnt.
