1 pound sliced ham
16 slices white bread
32 slices American cheese
1 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
7 eggs
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups milk
1/2 cup butter
directions
Remove crusts from bread. Place half in bottom of 9- x 13-inch pan, cutting to fit as needed.
Place a layer of ham, then cheese, then another layer of ham and cheese, then top with another layer of bread.
In a large bowl, beat the eggs, dry mustard, and salt. Add milk. Pour over bread and ham, saturating each slice.
Let stand in refrigerator for 12 hours or overnight.
Before baking, melt the butter and pour over the bread. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F and bake for 1 hour.
