30-60 minutes
ingredients
1 loaf frozen bread dough, thawed
Chicken Filling
1 can (10 ounce size) chicken breast meat, drained
1/3 cup condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup frozen peas and carrots
1 tablespoon minced onion
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon white pepper
Burrito Filling
3/4 pound lean ground beef or pork
1/2 can green chiles
2 tablespoons dry burrito or taco seasoning
1/2 cup refried beans
Pizza Filling
1/2 pound Italian sausage, remove from casings and crumble
1/4 cup chopped onions
1/4 cup bell pepper, chopped
1/4 cup mushrooms, chopped
enough pizza sauce to moisten
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tablespoon shredded parmesan cheese
directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Pockets: Slice thawed dough into slices (1 per sandwich - 1 loaf should yield 8 sandwiches).
Using flour and rolling pin, roll 1 slice of dough into a 5" circle. Place a couple tablespoons filling (see below) in center of bread circle.
Pull all dough edges up to center and pinch tightly together. Place seam side down on cookie sheet you've sprayed with non-stick coating.
With a sharp knife, make a slit on top of bread pocket for a steam vent. Bake at 375 degrees F for 35 minutes, or until golden brown.
Chicken Filling: Mix all ingredients well.
Burrito Filling: Cook meat until no longer pink, drain well. Stir into meat remaining ingredients.
Pizza Filling: Cook the sausage, onions, bell pepper, and mushrooms until sausage is cooked and veggies are soft. Drain well. Stir in pizza sauce and cheeses
Other Suggestions: make a reuben with corned beef and sauerkraut, or use leftover roast beef and gravy (or barbecued beef), or use chopped ham and your favorite cheese.
Have fun with this, everybody loves them.

They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
This Italian cheese is so versatile that it can be used in both sweet and savory recipes from cheesecakes to lasagnas.
