The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

Also known as the "Western Sandwich", this popular sandwich is essentially what we know as a Denver omelet between pieces of bread. It's made with eggs, onion, bell pepper, and ham. So, if you like Denver omelets, try one on bread!
8 slices bread, any kind, toasted
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
4 eggs
1/2 cup finely chopped cooked ham
1/3 teaspoon salt
black pepper, to taste
Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and bell pepper and cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are softened. Remove the vegetables from the skillet with a slotted spoon and set aside.
Place the eggs in a bowl and whisk until uniform in color. Stir in the ham, salt, and black pepper. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet. Reduce the heat to medium low and cook, without stirring, until the eggs are set.
Slice the omelet into quarters. Place one section on a slice of toast. Top with some of the reserved onion and bell pepper mixture. Top with another slice of toast. Repeat with remaining toast, egg, and vegetables. Serve the Denver sandwiches immediately.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
Keeping a can of frozen orange juice concentrate in the freezer means you can make more than just orange juice. Try it in a variety of orange-flavored recipes.

SCRUMPTIOUS! This is THE AUTHENTIC "Denver Omelet", but it's being served on bread. Delicious...loved it.

You can't get 5 stars without some kinda gooey CHEESE added in AND you must have HP SAUCE
Yes! About the ketchup, though. You must have a puddle of ketchup on a plate for dipping of the sandwich. Adding it to the sandwich will not do. Enjoy!

I don't care for onion so I omit that but I love gr peppers with eggs. Great combo. Oh, and it needs ketchup, eggs always need ketchup!!

I actually didn't know this had a name! I have been making these sandwiches for years. I actually prefer an omelet on bread so I do change this up sometimes. I also don't put the onion/pepper on top but I scramble it in with the egg. Just easier that way.
