Raspberry Gelatin Ice Cream Salad

ingredients
1 package (10 ounce size) frozen red raspberries, thawed and drained (reserve juice)
1 1/4 cup reserved raspberry juice and water as needed
1 package (3 ounce size) raspberry gelatin powder
1 pint vanilla ice cream, softened
directions
Combine the reserved raspberry juice and water in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil.
Whisk in the gelatin powder, stirring until dissolved.
Add the ice cream slowly, stirring until melted.
When all the ice cream is added, fold in the raspberries.
Place the mixture in a container and place in the refrigerator until well chilled and firm.
