Beer makes batters better, meat more tender, and sauces more flavorful.
This iconic whiskey is a "Jack of all trades" when it comes to cooking. Toss it in some pasta, as a savory dipping sauce, and even bake it into something sweet.

My grandmother used to make this and it was delicious! I didn't have her recipe so I was looking for something similar. I think this is it. I made it with butter instead of margarine, and after you bake the cake, you really need to break good size holes in it with the end of spatula so the glaze can really get down into the cake. It is very rich and would feed a lot more than 10. Great southern recipe!
do we use regular cake flour, self rising flour or all purpose.
